Human Resources and Administrative Services Director

Role:

Under the supervision of the Vice President, Administration and Finance, the Human Resources Director plays a strategic role in achieving corporate objectives. The Director plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates all human resources activities, including recruitment, compensation, skills development and performance evaluation, training, and occupational health and safety. The role is responsible for organizational development and provides advisory support to the team, all in a way that fosters employee engagement while contributing to the organization’s success. The Director acts as a change agent and plays a key role in promoting the company’s mission and values through various HR programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the HR vision and action plan in support of business objectives;
  • Design and implement HR practices and programs that help the company achieve its organizational goals;
  • Oversee and continuously improve all HR policies, programs, and processes;
  • Establish performance indicators to monitor and analyze HR activities;
  • Support managers in implementing organizational changes required to enhance competitiveness;
  • Act as an influencer across all management levels and serve as a facilitator and strategic partner;
  • Support managers in their interactions with employees and provide guidance when needed;
  • Oversee occupational health and safety (OHS) management and strengthen the organizational safety culture;
  • As a member of the executive committee, participate in meetings to ensure HR alignment with organizational objectives;
  • Supervise and provide guidance to an HR advisor;
  • Lead the recruitment and staffing process;
  • Develop compensation strategies and ensure internal and external pay equity compliance;
  • Act as a mediator to resolve interpersonal conflicts;
  • Identify training and development priorities, and plan, administer, and follow up on internal and external training activities;
  • Develop and implement ways to optimize operational processes and work tools;
  • Continuously monitor HR best practices and propose recommendations for implementation;
  • Establish and promote employee engagement and recognition initiatives;
  • Develop innovative initiatives to support talent attraction and retention within the organization.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Relations / Human Resources Management

  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written French proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
