Human Resources Advisor
Immediate Supervisor: Human Resources Director
Department: Human Resources
Role:
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Advisor acts as a generalist and participates in all human resources management activities to support the smooth operation of the various companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle (recruitment, selection, onboarding, and integration);
- Collaborate with recruitment agencies as needed;
- Act as a resource person for employees regarding human resources matters;
- Advise and support managers in problem-solving and in the application of HR policies and procedures, particularly in labor laws, disciplinary management, staffing, training, and employee engagement;
- Draft and distribute internal communications;
- Draft and update HR-related documents: organizational charts, job descriptions, employee letters, disciplinary actions, employee handbook, employment contracts, logs, etc.;
- Maintain employee files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality;
- Participate in the management of group insurance: enrollment, termination, beneficiary changes;
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accuracy of information in the payroll system;
- Coordinate training activities and track training expenses in accordance with the Act respecting workforce skills development and recognition;
- Participate in the development and implementation of organizational development programs: professional development, employee engagement, organizational structure, work climate, work organization, change management, etc.;
- Support the implementation of the organization’s strategic HR directions;
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and compliance of policies, programs, and processes to ensure efficient operations;
- Coordinate the employee performance evaluation program and support managers during evaluation meetings;
- Follow up on probationary evaluations;
- Coordinate various annual activities such as Christmas parties, BBQs, recognition week, etc.;
- Bring any issue requiring special attention to the immediate supervisor;
- Stay up to date on HR trends and best practices to propose and support new initiatives aligned with company objectives.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Relations / Human Resources Management

- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- High level of autonomy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of labor laws
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate with tact
- Ability to build trust, influence, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Sound judgment, initiative, autonomy, and discretion
- Strong adaptability and ability to manage priorities and multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written French proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
